    San Francisco Chops

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 pork chops - 3/4" thick
    • 1 T. oil
    • 1 clove garlic - minced
    • 2 t. olive oil
    • 4 T. dry sherry
    • 4 T. soy sauce
    • 2 T. brown sugar
    • 1/4 t. crushed red pepper
    • 2 t. cornstarch
    • 2 T. water


    Instructions


    1. Trim chops. Brown in oil in skillet. Remove from pan. Add garlic clove. Saute.

    2. Mix rest of ingredients except for cornstarch and water. Pour over chops in pan. Cover and simmer for 30 - 35 minutes. Add 2 T. water if necessary. Turn once.

    3. Remove chops to platter. Mix cornstarch and water. Pour into sauce. Simmer to thicken. Pour over chops.
