San Francisco Chops

List of Ingredients
- 4 pork chops - 3/4" thick
- 1 T. oil
- 1 clove garlic - minced
- 2 t. olive oil
- 4 T. dry sherry
- 4 T. soy sauce
- 2 T. brown sugar
- 1/4 t. crushed red pepper
- 2 t. cornstarch
- 2 T. water
Instructions
- Trim chops. Brown in oil in skillet. Remove from pan. Add garlic clove. Saute.
- Mix rest of ingredients except for cornstarch and water. Pour over chops in pan. Cover and simmer for 30 - 35 minutes. Add 2 T. water if necessary. Turn once.
- Remove chops to platter. Mix cornstarch and water. Pour into sauce. Simmer to thicken. Pour over chops.
