    Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread

    My version of a recipe from The Betty Crocker Cookbook

    Recipe Introduction


    This is just a good, basic banana bread recipe. Moist and full of banana flavor. I add a bag of those mini chocolate chips and that puts it over the top!

    List of Ingredients




    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    3 1/2 t. baking powder
    1 t. salt
    3 T. vegetable oil
    1/3 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. mashed bananas (2-3 medium bananas)
    1 c. chopped nuts
    12 oz. mini chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line bottom only of 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

    Mix all ingredients [I mixed the baking powder with the flour before adding to mixture]. Beat 30 seconds. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 – 65 minutes; cool slightly. Loosen sides of loaf from pan; remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing. To store, wrap and refrigerate no longer than 1 week.
