Recipe Introduction
Another ‘cheater’ recipe from one of those checkout line books! Pretty good, though! I add poppy seeds and sautéed onions to the top and substitute fresh sautéed onions for the dried. Make sure to use fresh parmesan cheese.
List of Ingredients
2 (8 oz.) cans Crescent dinner rolls
3 T. instant minced onions
2 T. grated parmesan cheese
2 T. French dressing
1 egg, beaten
2 t. grated parmesan
Recipe
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Generous grease (not oil) 9” round cake pan or pie pan. Unroll dough into 4 long rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. In small bowl, combine onion, 2 T. parmesan cheese and dressing; brush mixture over each rectangle. Staring at longer side, roll up; press edges to seal. Wind dough into greased pan, beginning at outer edge and coiling inward. Seal ends of dough. Brush with egg. Sprinkle with 2 t. parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
To reheat, wrap in foil; heat at 350 for 10 – 12 minutes.
