    Recipe Introduction


    A quote from the recipe itself: "This dish is just right the way it is. You shouldn't touch it with salt and pepper. And don't be dismayed by the cream - just remember that there is a lot of lettuce." It really is simple and delicious.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 medium head iceberg lettuce, cored, rinsed, wrapped and chilled
    • 1/4 c. sugar
    • 1/4 c. white vinegar
    • 1/4 c. light cream


    Instructions


    1. Cut the lettuce into large chunks.
    2. Put the sugar, vinegar and cream into a large bowl and mix.
    3. Ten minutes before serving, put the lettuce in the bowl and toss to coat the leaves. Toss again just before serving.
