A quote from the recipe itself: "This dish is just right the way it is. You shouldn't touch it with salt and pepper. And don't be dismayed by the cream - just remember that there is a lot of lettuce." It really is simple and delicious.
List of Ingredients
- 1 medium head iceberg lettuce, cored, rinsed, wrapped and chilled
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. white vinegar
- 1/4 c. light cream
Instructions
- Cut the lettuce into large chunks.
- Put the sugar, vinegar and cream into a large bowl and mix.
- Ten minutes before serving, put the lettuce in the bowl and toss to coat the leaves. Toss again just before serving.
