Raisin Bread Panini w Ham Turkey& Swiss
Source of Recipe
My version of a recipe from Taste of Home’s Cooking for 2, Winter 2008
Recipe Introduction
We got a Panini maker for Christmas from Momma and Ted and I was looking for something to inaugurate it with. This was delicious! The original recipe was a little plain – just ham, cheese, turkey and raisin bread. I added Dijon mustard and fig preserves. The sweet/savory combination is wonderful and different. If you don’t have a Panini press, you can certainly do this in a frying pan – just cook it slowly, so that all the elements warm up and the cheese melts.
List of Ingredients
4 slices raisin bread
3 slices deli ham
1 slice deli turkey
6 slices VERY thinly sliced Swiss cheese
Dijon mustard
Fig preserves
Butter
Recipe
Preheat the Panini press. Build the sandwich in this manner: bread, Dijon, cheese, ham, cheese, turkey, cheese, fig preserves. Butter the outside of each piece of bread and cook in the press until done.
Makes 2 sandwiches.
