Jessica made this sauce to put over a Brussels Sprout/broccoli "slaw" (actually more of a stir fry) that she made. Just a really simple and delicious sauce for adding to meats, vegetables, rice, etc. They suggest various add-ons: seasoned rice vinegar, grated ginger or garlic, red pepper flakes or Sriracha.
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup mirin
1/3 cup tamari/soy sauce
1 tablespoon miso paste
Recipe
Place all of the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat and mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until it is reduced by about 1/3.
Can be stored for about a week in a closed jar in the refrigerator.
