    Raisin Sauce for Ham

    Source of Recipe

From Pinterest via my MIL, Jo

    Recipe Introduction

I think this is the sweet sauce that I've been looking for to serve with ham. We've decided that this and Tropicalsenior's Gourmet Mustard Sauce are the perfect things to offer with a baked ham.

    List of Ingredients

    1 c. raisins
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 T. cornstarch
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/4 t. dry mustard
    1/4 t. ground cloves
    1 T. butter
    1 T. cider vinegar

    Recipe

Place the raisins and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 5 minutes.

Mix the brown sugar, cornstarch, dry mustard, and cloves together and add to the raisins. Boil until it thickens – about a minute. Add the butter and vinegar. Stir until the butter melts. Serve sauce warm.

    Makes 2 cups.
