Recipe Introduction
These are my great aunt Clarene's pecans. I sent out a request for family recipes to include here at the Recipe Circus and this was one that her daughter in law, Judy sent me.
List of Ingredients
Boil 1 cup sugar with ½ tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp cream of tartar, and ¼ cup very hot water, to soft ball stage. Add ½ tsp vanilla. Then stir in 2 cups (or more) nuts. Keep stirring until all nuts are coated. Turn out onto a flat surface, separate and cool.
