    Recipe Introduction


    These are a Christmas tradition in my family. I would never get away with not making them. Even people that I worked with grew to expect them! I always look for pecans to go on sale before the holidays and buy a ton to freeze. I keep them around during the holidays and give lots away and if there are any leftover, they go great in a green salad with oranges, red onions and a vinegrette!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 2 T. cinnamon
    • 1/2 t. salt
    • 1 egg white
    • 3 c. pecan halves (about 1/2 lb.)


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
    2. Combine sugar, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
    3. Whisk egg white until frothy. Add pecans - toss to coat. Add sugar mix. Toss very well.
    4. Spread on a baking sheet. Bake about 20 minutes. Immediately loosen pecans. Cool.
