Recipe Introduction


I found a few recipes online for “Bold Chex Mix”. That sounded good to me, but the one that I tried was too salty for us. So I’ve made some changes in the recipe and come up with my own combination that we like a lot.


List of Ingredients




9 cups Chex cereal – wheat, rice and corn
2 cups Gardetto’s Original Recipe Snack Mix
1 cup deluxe mixed nuts
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and hot
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 T. seasoned salt
1 t. garlic powder


Recipe



Heat the oven to 250F.

In a large bowl, mix the cereal, snack mix and nuts. In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and garlic powder. Pour over the cereal mixture and toss very well.

Spread on a large baking sheet and bake for about 1 to 1 1/4 hours tossing every 15 minutes. Turn out onto paper towels and cool completely. Store airtight.
