    By using Rice Chex, this is gluten free!

    List of Ingredients




    1 box(12oz) Rice Chex
    2.5 cups pecan halves
    2 cups banana chips
    2 sticks butter
    2 cups light brown sugar
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon (I use Penzey’s Cake Spice blend)
    Pinch of kosher salt

    Recipe



    Preheat the oven to 250°. Combine Chex, pecans, and banana chips in a large foil pan and set aside.

    In a large saucepan, melt butter and add brown sugar, stirring continuously while bringing to boil. Add corn syrup, vanilla, and baking soda. Once combined it should look golden brown.

    Pour over the Chex mixture. Gently fold until well coated and spread out evenly in the pan. Sprinkle a pinch of kosher salt over the entire pan, mix again, before spreading out evenly again. Cook for 45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, pull out a few Chex and set aside to cool for a few minutes, taste and determine if it is to your taste–add more seasoning or salt. Allow to cool and enjoy!
