    Mike found this recipe when he was looking to smoke his first pork butt. The original recipe, which called for 1 T. cayenne was just too hot for both of us. After making it over a couple of times, he decided on 1 t. cayenne. In the final product, I thought it was perfect, but he would have liked a little more heat. The dominant flavor in this one is the cumin.

    List of Ingredients




    2 T. salt
    2 T. sugar
    2 T. brown sugar
    2 T. ground cumin
    2 T. chili powder
    2 T. freshly ground black pepper
    1 t. cayenne pepper
    1/4 c. paprika

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients. Use as a rub on pork, chicken, beef, etc.
