I used this glaze for apple fritters. It definitely intensified the apple flavor. NOTE: I loved the flavor, but wasn't thrilled with the 'glazing' - it mostly soaked into the fritters and didn't form a hard glaze. I got some advice from the folks at eGullet.org and the culprit seems to be the corn syrup. I'll leave that off next time.
List of Ingredients
1 c. apple cider or juice
2 c. 10x
1 T. light corn syrup
Recipe
Boil apple cider in a small saucepan until reduced in half, about 7 to 10 minutes. Place powdered sugar in medium bowl. Whisk in hot cider and corn syrup until smooth.
