    Lemon Sauce for Gingerbread

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 2 T. cornstarch
    • 1/4 t. salt
    • 2 c. water
    • 1/4 c. butter
    • 1 T. grated lemon zest
    • 3 T. lemon juice


    Instructions


    1. In a small saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually stir in water.

    2. Cook, stirring constantly, until mix thickens and boils. Boil and stir one minute.

    3. Remove from heat. Stir in butter, zest and lemon juice.
