Recipe Introduction
A family favorite, I grew up eating these. I have other baked bean recipes that I like, but these ARE baked beans, to me. Jeannette just mixes everything together, as is – I like to cook the bacon and render out the fat and cook the onions in the fat. If you do this, pour the cooked bacon, onions AND the grease into the mixture.
List of Ingredients
2-16 oz. can of beans
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 t. dried mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
4 slices bacon, in large pieces
1/2 cup chopped onions
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients. Bake in open casserole dish for 1 hour.
Serves 6-8.
