Super Thin & Crispy Onion Rings

    Source of Recipe

    John Besh

    Recipe Introduction

These onion rings are from a recipe for Sloppy Joe Sliders and are used as a garnish. They are so amazingly crisp and thin and EASY that I wanted to put the recipe in on its own. They go really well on top of the Sloppy Joes, but would be amazing topping all kinds of sandwiches, salads, soups and steaks. The recipe makes a LOT of rings – feel free to use only one onion.

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups canola oil
2 red onions, sliced into VERY thin rings
    Salt
    1 cup flour

    Recipe

Heat the oil in a saucepan or frying pan to 350 degrees. Toss the onions with salt and let sit for a couple of minutes. Add the flour [you may not need an entire cup] and toss to coat. Fry in the oil. Fry only a few at a time until crisp and golden. Drain and season with a little salt.
