    Buster Bars


    List of Ingredients


    • 42 Oreo Cookies, crushed
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
    • 1 1/2 cups spanish peanuts
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
    • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
    • 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Combine the 1/2 cup butter with crushed cookies.

    2. Pat in 9x13 pan and freeze.

    3. Spread softened ice cream on frozen crumbs.

    4. Sprinkle with half the peanuts and freeze again.

    5. Bring to boil the sugar, evaporated milk, butter and chocolate chips.

    6. Cook and stir until thick. (It won't get real thick.)

    7. Let cool and spread on top of peanuts.

    8. Top with remaining peanuts.

    9. Freeze.

    10. Cut in squares when ready to serve.

    11. Store in freezer.

    12. This can be made several days ahead.
