    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lb. bulk sausage (1 lb. spicy and 1 lb. regular)
    • 1 C. raw grits, cooked
    • 1/4 stick butter or margarine
    • 2 C. sharp cheddar cheese, grated (or you can get the already shredded)
    • 5 eggs
    • 1/4 C. milk


    Instructions


    1. Brown and drain sausage and crumble in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. (Spray w/ Pam or other non stick cooking spray first)
    2. Cook grits according to package directions.(stiff is better than runny)
    3. Add butter and cheese to cooked grits.
    4. Beat eggs, milk, salt & pepper together and add to slightly cooled grits mixture.
    5. Pour over sausage in casserole.
    6. Bake @ 350 degrees for one hour.
    7. Do not bake before freezing. It can be frozen and then baked.
