Form the ground beef into eight patties. Place on four of the patties one slice of onion, one slice of cheese and some chopped jalapeno. Place remaining four patties on top. Seal edges well. Place in skillet and brown on both sides. It will make its own oil or juice. Remove patties from skillet and make gravy as follows. Place in skillet three tablespoons of oil and one tablespoon of flour. Brown. Gradually add two cups of water. Stir until slightly thickened. Add patties. Cook 20 to 30 minutes longer. Turn patties over and cook 15 more minutes.
