List of Ingredients
- 1 stick soften butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking soda mixed into 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 6 cups AP flour
Instructions
- Cream butter and shortening with the sugar. Mix well.
- Add eggs one at a time and continue to mix until well blended.
- Add buttermilk mixture and vanilla.
- Add flour one cup at a time until well incorporated.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 30 minutes
- Roll out with rolling pin. I roll between 2 sheets of parchment paper. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on cookie sheet
- Bake at 375 for 9 minutes. Makes approximately 3 dozen.
