    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups stale french bread cut into 3/4 inch cubes
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 cup cream
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 TBSP vanilla extract
    • 1/2 TSP cinnamon
    • 1/4 TSP nutmeg
    • 4 TBSP butter, melted and cooled
    • 1/2 cup white raisins
    • CARAMEL SAUCE
    • 1 stick butter
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup light karo syrup
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 TBSP vinegar
    • 1 TSP soda


    Instructions


    1. Place bread in bowl. Cover with the milk and cream.
    2. With a electric mixer on high beat eggs and sugar until pale. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter and raisins.
    3. Add soaked bread to mixture.

    4. Transfer mixture to greased 9x9 greased baking dish.


    5. Bake at 350 until firm or until a knife comes out clean. approximately 45 minutes.
    6. Cool slightly. Serve with caramel sauce.
    7. Combine all ingredients for sauce.
      Boil for 1 minute.
    8. Serve over pudding.
