    Makes about 2 cups (1/4 cup = 0 points)

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed
    1 cup finely diced ripe tomatoes (if you use canned, drain well)
    1 small onion, minced
    Juice of ½ to 1 lime, to taste (1 – 3 tablespoons)
    1 small hot fresh chili, seeded and minced, or 1 4-ounce can chopped mild green chiles
    ¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
    ¼ teaspoon each: ground cumin and dried oregano

    Recipe



    Combine all ingredients in a serving container and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow flavors to blend.

    Per ¼ cup serving: 44 calories, 8 g carbohydrates, 0 g fat, 0 g cholesterol, 2 g protein, 2 mg sodium, 2 g fiber
