    Spaghetti Sauce


    List of Ingredients


    • SAUCE:
    • 6 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce
    • 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
    • 2 tablespoons oregano
    • 2 tablespoons basil
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • some rosemary (to your liking)
    • 2 bay leaves
    • a little sage (to your liking)
    • MEAT MIXTURE:
    • 2 pounds ground beef
    • 3/4 medium onion, chopped
    • 1 bell pepper, diced
    • 4 cloves garlic, pressed
    • Mushrooms, chopped (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Combine all sauce ingredients and simmer while the meat mixture is cooking. You may need to adjust some of the seasonings to your likings while the sauce is simmering.
    2. Brown meat, onion, bell pepper and garlic. Drain and add mushrooms (if using), mix with the sauce above. Continue simmering for another 45 minutes.
    3. Remember to remove the bay leaf. Enjoy! Can be frozen.
