    8 oz cream cheese, room temp
    1 box 18 oz spice cake mix
    2 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    2 cups unsweetened applesauce
    3 eggs
    1 container 1 lb prepared vanilla frosting
    1 tbs apple brandy

    Recipe



    HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. Coat two 9 inch round cake pans with cooking spray. In bowl, combine cake mix and cocoa. Add oil, applesauce, and eggs. Beat 2 min. Divide batter between the two pans. Bake 30 min. Let cool in pans.
    Remove cakes from pans. In 2nd bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in frosting and apple brandy until well blended and smooth. Place cake layer, rounded side
    up on platter. Spread with 1/2 cup of frosting. Top with remaining layer, rounded side up. Frost top and sides of cake. Refrigerate 45 min. before serving.*
