    2 c flour
    1 c butter
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 c sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c M&M's candy
    3/4 chopped nuts (opt)

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture slowly. Stir in M & M's and nuts. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls on to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 11 minutes until browned. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; place on wire cooling rack.

    Makes about 5 dozen 2 inch cookies.
