    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves

    Cream butter and shortening, adding sugars gradually.
    Add eggs and beat well, then add flavoring. Add flour, sifted with salt,soda and spices. Press out of cookie press and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
