    Garlic & Herb Cheese Pate

    Recipe Introduction


    This is so good that you won't be able to stop eating it. Use any combination of herbs that you like; I particularly like thyme and chives, and I like to serve it on whole-grain crackers or crunchy breadsticks.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 3 green onions, white and about an inch of green, minced
    • 1 (8 ounce) container soft cream cheese
    • 2 tablespoons mixed chopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, oregano, chives, basil)
    • 1-1/2 cups fresly grated parmesan cheese (about a 3 to 4 ounce chunk)


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter in a small skillet and saute garlic and green onions together for about 5 minutes.
    2. Let cool.
    3. Combine soft cream cheese with the cooled garlic and green onions, then mix in the herbs and Parmesan cheese.
    4. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Tastes wonderful at room temp.
