Recipe Introduction
This is a great pie, and named for my Lodge. It has 251 calories, but if you want to have this pie you won't care about the calories. The calories count here only if you eat more than 2 pieces. There are 8 pieces to this pie; very rich. This will bring you raves and requests for the recipe.
List of Ingredients
3/4 cup Honey
2 Eggs -- Beaten
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
3/4 cup Coconut
3/4 cup Raisins -- or dried cranberries or currants
3/4 cup Walnuts -- chopped
1 9 inch pie shell - unbaked
Whipping cream, if desired -- whipped topping o.k. too.
Recipe
Combine all ingredients, except the pie shell and the whipped cream. in a bowl & mix together.
Pour into pie shell
bake at 350° 40 to 45 minutes or until filling browns and a knife blade inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool. Top with whipped cream, if desired, and serve.
