    Spareribs, Garlic

    List of Ingredients

    6 pounds spareribs
    4 large garlic cloves
    1 T salt
    1 C consomme
    1 C orange marmalade
    1/4 C vinegar or lemon juice
    1/4 C ketchup

    Recipe

    Figure about one pound of spareribs per person.
    Crush garlic with salt. Add consomme, marmalade,vinegar and ketchup. Marinate ribs 12 hours or more, turning several times.
    Weave the whole strips on spit and cook slowly over low coals for 1-1/2 hours or until shiny brown and fork tender. Baste with the marinade during cooking.

    Bake in 300 degree F. oven for 2 hours basting often.
