List of Ingredients
1 1/2 C oatmeal
2 C warm water
3 T sugar
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 C flour
1/2 pound nuts
1 cake, compressed yeast
2 T butter
Recipe
Pour warm water over butter, sugar and salt. Add oatmeal, flour and nuts. Add yeast that has been dissolved in 1/3 C lukewarm water. Beat well and let rise until light. Then add enough flour to make a dough. Knead lightly. Let rise 1 hour. Punch down and make 2 loaves. let rise again to double in size. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
