    1 tsp dry yeast
    1 C lukewarm water
    1 C buttermilk
    1 1/2 C buckwheat flour
    3 T wholewheat flour
    1/2 tsp salt

    Recipe



    Dissolve the yeast in the water. Add buttermilk, buckwheat flour, whole wheat flour and salt.
    Let set overnight and bake on the griddle in the morning.
    Var;
    Save 1 cup of the batter to make a sourdough starter and use in place of the 1 C water.
    Use it about ever 2 days or so, keeping 1 C for the next starter.
