Recipe Introduction

Preheat oven to 350F and grease a tube pan.

List of Ingredients

* 3/4 cup butter
* 1 1/2 cups sugar
* 3 cups sifted cake flour
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 3 teaspoons baking powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon ground cloves
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
* 1 cup tomato soup
* 3/4 cup water
* 1 1/2 cups raisins
* 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts





Recipe


Cream butter or other shortening and add sugar slowly. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternately with tomato soup which has been combined with water. Mix thoroughly.
Add raisins and nuts and pour into well greased tube pan. Bake for an hour, at 350 degrees F.
Frost with cream cheese frosting. Make 1 round loaf (9 inches).
