    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    List of Ingredients




    3 C flour
    2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp allspice
    1 tsp ginger
    1/2 tsp mace
    2 C sugar
    1/2 C shortening
    2 eggs
    2 C applesauce
    2 C raisins
    1 C nuts



    Recipe



    Mix together dry ingredients, except the sugar.
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and applesauce. Combine with dry ingredients, raisins and nuts. Beat well. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.
    Frost if desired.
