    Cantonese Short Ribs

    List of Ingredients

    1 lb. 4 oz. can sliced pineapple
    3 Ibs. short ribs, cut into serving pieces
    2 tbsp. oil
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    Brown sugar
    1 tsp. ginger
    Melted butter

    Recipe

    Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Brown ribs in hot oil in heavy skillet. Add enough water to reserved juice to measure 2 cups. Combine juice mixture, soy sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and ginger in bowl. Mix well. Pour over ribs. Cover. Simmer for 3 hours or until tender. Brush pineapple slices with melted butter. Brown lightly under broiler. Arrange ribs on hot platter. Garnish with pineapple slices.
