    List of Ingredients

    6 water chestnuts, diced
    1/4 pound lean pork
    1/4 pound shrimp, minced
    1 tsp ginger, minced
    1 tsp sesame oil
    2 tsp soy sauce
    2 T soup stock
    3 dried mushrooms, soaked and diced
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp sherry or rice wine
    1/3 tsp sugar

    Recipe

    Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Add 1 slightly beaten egg yolk.
    Wrappers;
    4 eggs slightly beaten
    3 C flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    Combine ingredients to a stiff dough. Roll out very thin on a board dusted with cornstarch to about 20 inches long. Cut into strips of 1 1/2 inches wide and pile on top of each other. Roll again to 3 inches, then cut into squares 3x3 inches.
    Place a half teaspoon of filling on each wrapper. Fold diagonally so it resembles a triangle and join the two bottom pints together with a bit of beaten egg.
    Drop the won ton into boiling water to cook, Or in soup stock for wan ton soup. When they float the meat is cooked. Remove and drain for dim sum (appetizers) or add rest of ingredients to your soup.
    These can also be deep fat fried for appetizers. Serve with dipping sauces and hot mustard or soy sauce.
