    Jelly, Tomato

    Source of Recipe

    Old cookbook

    List of Ingredients

As many fresh garden tomatoes as desired
Place them in a pan with a little water, not too much. Boil one half an hour. Strain through a sieve, over a bowl or pan, until you get all the pulp. Let it settle. Pour off the liquid on the top and save for another use. Put the thick pulp in deep plates, season with salt and pepper and set them in the oven at 350 degrees F. When hot and thickened put in a jar. Serve hot or cold with bread crumbs and butter. Serve with roast meats.
