    Marzipan and candied citrus peel are added for special, fine kringles.

    List of Ingredients




    1 recipe "pastry to make danishes"
    1 recipe remonce
    marzipan(opt)
    1 recipe vanilla creme
    raisins
    candied citrus peel(opt)
    egg wash
    sliced almonds
    sugar

    Recipe



    Roll out dough to 24x7 inch and 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick. Spread middle one third of dough with remonce. (marzipan can be added here). Spread with the vanilla creme and sprinkle with raisins (citrus peel added also). Fold one long edge over filling, a little over the middle, and the other edge, a little over the already folded layer. Cut "teeth" along one side. Place on cookie sheet and form in a slight curve. (not quite a crescent).
    Let rise 40 minutes, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with almonds and sugar. Bake at 340 degrees F. 25 minutes.
