    List of Ingredients

    1 pound smoked ham
    2 pounds lean pork
    6 medium sized potatoes
    2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 1/2 C cream
    2 T mustard
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 C bread crumbs

    Recipe

    Grind meat finely and thoroughly mix with boiled mashed potatoes, salt and pepper. Add cream, stirring until smooth. A few drops of red vegetable coloring may be added to make the mixture more nearly resemble ham. Put mixture in a flat glass dish and mold into ham shape with the hands. Mix mustard and the egg yolks and spread over top, over this sprinkle the crumbs. Bake in a moderate oven 1 1/2 hours. Serve with mushroom sauce poured over.
