1/2 of a lemon peel
1/2 of an orange peel
3/4 C red wine
1/4 C sherry
1/4-1/2 C packed light brown sugar
1/4 C honey
1 stick cinnamon
1 pound mixed dried fruit (1 pound)Recipe
Finely slice the citrus peels, using no white pith. Combine all with 1 cup water. bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 15 minutes until fruits are soft. Remove cinnamon stick. Serve warm.
