    List of Ingredients




    8 C water
    2 C sugar
    1 slice lemon
    1 slice orange
    4-5 cloves
    1 stick cinnamon
    1/2 pound butter
    2 C farina
    1/2 C sliced almonds
    1/2 C pinenuts
    walnuts
    cinnamon

    Recipe



    Simmer the first 6 ingredients for half an hour. Cook together the butter and farina until dark brown, about 45 minutes. Add the nuts to the farina and brown. Add the syrup slowly to the farina mixture, remove from heat and let set 5 minutes, covered. Return to heat and cook until thick.
    Pour into a 9x13 inch pan and sprinkle with walnuts and cinnamon. When cool cut into diamond shapes.
