List of Ingredients

1 yeast cake dissolved in,
1/4 C water
1 C scalded milk
1/4 C butter
1 T sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 C cornmeal
2 C flour


Recipe

Add butter to hot milk with sugar and salt. Cool slightly. Add beaten eggs and yeast. Stir in cornmeal and flour. Let rise until doubled. Stir down. Rise again.
Disturbing the batter as little as possible, fry spoonfuls in hot fat at 360 degrees F. until puffy and golden brown. Serve warm with butter
