    • four quarts water
    • one cup brown sugar
    • one cup granulated sugar
    • two lemons, thinly sliced
    • one quarter teaspoon dry yeast
    • a few blossoms of hops
    • raisins


    Instructions


    1. Heat the water to boiling. Add hops sugar and lemon slices. Cool to luke warm. Transfer to non-metallic container

    2. Add yeast and stir. Let it stand overnight (or eight to ten hours) in a warm place. It should be bubbly around the edges.

    3. Next day, strain and bottle. To each bottle add one tablespoon sugar and a few raisins. Do not cap too tightly. Keep at room temperature for two days, or until the raisins float to the top. Cap tightly and chill.
