    Instructions


    1. 2-3 inch pieces of sassafras root, or bark
    2. 4 C boiling water
    3. Scrub roots well and cut into short pieces. Boil the roots and water for 15 minutes or until red and strong.
    4. Serve hot, sweetened as desired.
    5. Can also be served chilled with ice.
