    Parboil whole apricots in boiling water for about 30 seconds and drain. cool until easily handled, peel, pit and halve or slice. freeze in a syrup made from 2 C sugar and 5 C water. Add 2 ounces ascorbic acid for each 2 1/2 C syrup.
