Recipe Introduction
Frosts two, nine inch layers.
List of Ingredients
2 egg whites
1 1/2 C sugar
4 1/2 T orange juice
1/2 T lemon juice
1 tsp grated orange rind
3/4 C Southern style Bakers coconutRecipe
Put egg whites, sugar and fruit juice in top of double boiler, beat with a rotary beater until thoroughly mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water, beat constantly and cook 7 minutes, or until frosting will stand in peaks. Remove from fire and beat until thick enough to spread. Add orange rind. Spread over top and sides of cake and sprinkle with coconut while still soft.
