    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

    List of Ingredients




    4 T butter
    1/2 C bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1 pound Mozzarella cheese
    1/4 pound mortadella bologna
    3+ T Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp grated nutmeg

    Recipe



    Boil 1 pound rigatoni. drain. Place in a bowl with Parmesan cheese. Butter a casserole dish. Add about 1/4 cup bread crumbs and tilt around as if flouring a cake pan, until all bread crumbs coat dish. Pour out excess and save.
    Beat the egg and pour into casserole to coat sides and bottom. Add more crumbs and repeat process.
    Grate the mozzarella coarsely . Thinly slice the mortadella into thin strips.
    Place a layer of rigatoni on bottom of casserole, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and strips of mortadella, some Parmesan and a dash of nutmeg. Dot with butter. Repeat until all is used up ending with Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs for top. Dot with butter.
    Bake at 375 degrees F. until thoroughly hot and golden, 20-30 minutes.
    Cool 15 minutes.
