    List of Ingredients




    PASTRY;
    1 1/2 C flour
    3/4 tsp salt
    2/3 C bacon fat
    1/3 C ice water

    FILLING;

    2 T oil
    1/2 C chopped onion
    1/2 C chopped green bell pepper
    1 pound ground beef
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    2 T chili powder
    1/2 can tomato paste
    water
    6 Mezzetta olives in habanero hot sauce

    PASTRY; combine flour and salt. Cut in the fatuntil it resembles coarse corn meal. Add a little water, tossing with a fork to form the dough. Chill in refigerator while making the filling. Preheat oven to 350.

    FILLING; Heat oil and saute onion and bell pepper. Mix in beef, season with salt and pepper and brown the meat. Mix the tomatoe paste with water to make 1 cup. Add chili powder and combine with the meat mixture. Cook on low about 15 minutes. Cool. Chop the olives in food processer, using 3 bursts and mix with meat.
    Roll out the crust to more than fit a 9 inch pie plate. place the crust in pie plate and cut off excess and reserve. Pour the meat mixture into the pastry shell. Roll out the remaining crust and cut into strips and make a lattice top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
