5 C flour
1/4 C sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 C butter
1 pkg yeast
2 T warm water
2 C buttermilk
1/4 C softened butter
Recipe
Sift together dry ingredients.
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add with buttermilk to the dry ingredients. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Spread with softened butter.
Cut with 2 inch cutter, Fold together with buttered sides up and brush with egg yolk or butter. Place in a buttered pan and bake at 400 degrees F. for 15 minutes
