NORWEGIAN CARDAMOM RING

1 cup milk
1 cup thin cream
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
7 -1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 cakes yeast.
2 tbls. butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. citron
2 cups seedless raisins
Recipe
Scald milk and cream, add butter, sugar, salt and cardamon seed. When lukewarm, stir in yeast which has been soaked in lukewarm water. Let rise until double. Divide dough in 2 parts - roll out and spread with 2 tbls. butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp. citron and 2 cups seedless raisins. Roll like a jelly roll - cut all around. Sprinkle with nuts and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
