    Brine; 3 T salt and 1 T sugar to each quart of water.

    List of Ingredients




    Use flank of beef for these rolls. Separate layers of flank and cut into pieces about 8 inches long x 6 inches wide. On each place several pieces of beef, fresh pork and minced onion. Season with salt, pepper and a little allspice. Roll up and fasten with string to keep shape.
    Put in a brine for 24 hours. When ready to use prick with fork, then simmer slowly until tender. Prick occasionally while cooking to keep them from bursting. Delicious hot or cold. Slice thin for sandwiches if desired.
